11th May Protest against the Supreme Court Judgement
Trans Liberation Bournemouth is organising a protest against the Supreme Court judgement changing the protections in the equality act that help keep trans people safe, as well as the subsequent transphobia from the EHRC, the media and politicians. The protest will take place on the 11th Of May, in The Triangle, Bournemouth . There will be speeches, starting from 2pm, and a march starting at 2:30 from The Triangle to the Pier. The route of the march will be posted shortly. Trans Liberation Bournemouth is not affiliated with any particular ideology or party, and anyone who wants to oppose transphobia, trans or ally is more than welcome at the event. Pride flags are encouraged! The protest is intended to be a peaceful one, and given the scrutiny from the media around placards at recent trans protests we encourage people to keep the messages on placards non-violent.
